For this academic year, following the unprecedented circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools, colleges and sixth forms have switched part, or all, of their learning online. This itself has been a learning journey for staff and students alike, but as time has progressed processes have been refined, reflections have been made, staff have been trained, and now we find ourselves in the position that online learning is part of our day-to-day routine. While online learning may now be part of the ‘new normal’, that does not mean that it comes without any challenges, particularly for students. This article will seek to provide a range of hints and tips about how to make the most of online learning.
